Securitisation Regulation (ONLINE)
THIS COURSE WILL BE AVAILABLE 0n 15 November 2018.
SECREG is an EU regulation that seeks to establish common rules and a new framework for securitisation.
The European securitisation market has remained subdued since the 2008 crisis (triggered by reckless securitisation of US subprime mortgages).
SECREG seeks to ‘restart high-quality securitisation markets, without repeating the mistakes made before the 2008 financial crisis.’
The ultimate aim is to:
- simplify the current fragmented framework by replacing disparate obligations from different laws with a single unified regulation and
- create a replacement framework that identifies a STS (Simple, Transparent and Standardised) securitisation process
- increased investor confidence and a restoration of market activity.
Please check back on 15 November 2018 when the course will be available.
